So I’m sat at work and wanted to put my thoughts down in writing.

So far my prep for the next Louth meeting is going well. The car isn’t get the full works as it did last meeting, but isn’t far off. I’ve got another setup idea to try and hopefully some other shells to try to.

This year is all about racing locally again, but doing it whilst not spending big. I can’t, I have things in life to buy and want a bigger house for my family. So needs must, so the 24 car may have to last me another year.

I’ve got a new shock setup to try out, I’ve tried it once before but been told to try something else. I will have another esc, which is my 3rd of the series. And it’s due to my nosram having a hard life. It’s been plugged backwards, the cap glow red, etc And I don’t think the brakes work as they should. As the car rolls a little after you hit the brakes. So I’m borrowing a led flow x stock spec, which is the same but blue. That way I can make the decision whether to stick with these esc or swap back to hobbywing. So that’s car related

The other I wanted to put down in words is rc silly season. I love to see it, it’s a little buzz in such a small community. To most races like me, we don’t get involved. We’re not big fish to fry, so changing small things here and there we won’t make the headlines. I do hate seeing people not be brand loyal though. And I understand you have to make the decisions, which is getting the best products for you to maximise your racing. Seeing top names leave a brand after 4/5/6 years always leaves a bitter taste with me. And it’s silly but it’s how it sits with me

I’ve been with xray for 7 years now after I rejoined them, nosram a couple of years and many of my others couple of years or more. And you get to know good people through it
