So it’s been a while since I last raced, about 7/8 weeks to be ready.

Also I’ve been busy helping a young lad be prepared and to give him the best car he could have. Well Sunday arrived for the warm event to the Schumacher winter series the race event that I head.

And it all went wrong from the get go. The young lads car had no brakes, and kept unbinding. We tried a different speedo and motor which was my own, and in the end it was his radio. His grandad had to two radio for two different cars, which isn’t really needed given that they have multiple model memory. So we had to keep tweaking his car and radio all day and he was going really well

My own racing. Practice was low grip and on tyres that had done only the one run. It felt terrible. I was still fastest though

Four qualifying runs, and I tried a few things. Q1 the car went back out as it did from practice as I helped the young lad out.

Q2 the car went on the setup gauges

Q3 made a top deck change on the car

Q4 I changed the rear castor

I got four tq runs getting faster

The final was a short affair as I hadn’t fully tightened my wheelnut, after two corners it pushed like crazy and I saw the wheee pointing the other way. Thank god a mate could see, get a wheel nut on the car and get back out there. I just went for the fastest lap in the end. I started half a lap behind the back, re sight on driver and passed and left him. Then was reeling in 2nd and 3rd and was on the back of them by the end of the race

It’s a shame as my car was mega just my prep letting me down. So we reprep and go again for three weeks time

Whilst I wait it’s the release of the new xray x4 2024 and I can’t wait
