It’s been a while since I last updated. I was able to attend round 4 of the silly goat summer series.

I raced in two classes again, the mardave/ kamtec class and the 17.5 blinky class

The mardave class was a solid day with a full 7/8 drivers so was good. I started near the back due to championship order. Made my way to the front and managed to take 4 rounds of qualifying. Had the change rear tyres due to chunking but apart form that it was smooth

The touring class, the car felt ok from the start. I tried a different bodyshell and the car was super pointy and rotated up it’s arse. I also tried to run a set of tyres through. I changed back to some older tyres and my twister speciale shell. And the car felt more dialled. I had close Competition in the early laps of each run from Paul Sleight running the new awesomatix and Joe cocking. But mid run I could break away and pump in the laps

Both finals were plan sailing. The touring one helped with drivers making mistakes and then holding each other up

Either way it was good to be racing again I do miss it. It’s hard not being able to invest in the way I’d like to though. And not to attend the bigger events, but that’s life currently. My cars prepped and ready for the next meeting which is Louth again
