Like the rounds before, I didn’t get the amount of time I wanted to prep my car. It was good and it was ready, but how good?
Early start, help set the track, which the club had previous. This round of be running in two classes. Kamtec/ mardave and 17.5
My mardave I setup on the morning, and my rc ready to go. My mardave was good from the off and tbh I took all four qualifying rounds. I changed the preload on the shock and that was about that. Not touched or pestered all day.
It’s a weird class at Louth as the rules are stupid, but it’s what’s been set.
The touring car, first round started bad, sending the car across the track after hitting a corner. But I took three of the four rounds to tq. My servo failed before my final qualifying round.
The mardave final was plan sailing and never challenged, an easy win and one that would put me mid pack of the touring cars. In the touring car class, I had to adjust to a different servo from the off. Clipped corners, rolled. Went to last for myself back up to the lead, plain sailing. Clipped a corner then my body tucked. Asked a Marshall to flick it who picked my car up. Lost time. Followed first and he defended well until he gave me the smallest gap that I took. I got the win and had to work for it. But the car deserved it
It’s stripped back so I can sort any issues then we go again in a months time
