So i blogged this week about helping a friend out, and that was the easy part. So I helped a friend out and then had to sort myself out. I thought that would be the ways part.

My car had already had the central drivetrain rebuilt as I do, and would leave it a until the Saturday before the race meeting to do my shocks and diff. I placed my xray x4 on my setup board after my last meeting and for some reason it seemed tweaked horribly. Placed it on some scales, showing each corners weight and again showed something massively off. So I changed parts and checked everything again same issue.

So I stressed, Thursday night I decided I would build me new xray x4 23. So I got at least half of the car built, then Friday evening I had a change of plan. Why would I do this, rush the build and make a fool of myself and the product for the weekend.

So Friday evening I then stripped my x4 22 and went again. From the chassis back up. In the process I found my setup board to be not flat (not helpful). I used a piece of glass and my car was flat so I was happy. Saturday morning I rebuilt the car and it was good to go.

My mates car I get only needed slight tweaks. But I came of it, it had bugger all steering. I was tired and annoyed and kinda frazzled out. So swapped it out for his gear. Again not getting much steering, but knowing it may help him.

Upon speaking to him I hadn’t looked at his radio, which his steering was turned down… doh

And my car well I had the odd issue, that with my own driving not the best. But I’ll report on that asap

Just goes to show never rush, give good time and enjoy it
